From 2020 to 2022, I served as the creative lead for this exciting new vertical video app’s presence in America.

With a tiny team, I led the development and greenlighting of over a thousand series from a mix of amateur creators and professional filmmakers.

I led ad-supported partnerships business at this prominent NY and LA-based IAC-owned studio and publisher of CollegeHumor, Dorkly and Drawfee ad-supported digital channels, the subscription service DROPOUT, and creator of shows like Adam Ruins Everything, Chopped, Flaked, Marco Polo, Jane the Virgin, Ugly Betty, Mob Wives, Toybox.

I was the lead writer in generating original branded IP for brands and client partners, both reactive and proactive. Under my leadership we have produced over a hundred pieces of high-impact branded entertainment on our owned and operated channels, being named Digiday’s 2019 Best Video Publisher for Brands in the process, as well as white label content. Maintained RFP closure rate of over 25%. Grew direct ad sales year to year, including closing the largest branded content buy in our organization’s history.

Clients: Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Comcast, Dropout (our own subscription service); MillerCoors, Mentos, Coke, EA, Sabra, White Castle, Marpac, Universal, NHTSA, truth, 5hr Energy.

The New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts; SVA; Miami Ad School

I’ve been an active leader in the webseries and content space since the early days of YouTube. Among other things, I:

  • Initiated the webseries program at SVA, and the New Media program at the New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Resources.

  • Was a founding member of the International Academy of Web Television (2008).

  • Addressed Congressional panel in U.S. Senate Judicial room regarding the Protect-IP Act and Net Neutrality (2011).

  • Am a member of the Board of Directors of Catalyst / ITVFest.

  • Was the first writer/creator signed to the Writer’s Guild of America East under its New Media contract (2009).

  • Was the Recipient of Penn State’s Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award (2017).
